HVAC Journeyman Installation Technician (Part-Time / As-Needed with Growth Opportunity)

Frontline Comfort Systems is a residential HVAC company based in Edmond, OK. We focus on high-quality installs, accurate performance, and honest communication with homeowners. We’re not a volume shop—we don’t rush work or cut corners. Because of that, installation work comes in waves, and we’re looking for someone who values flexible scheduling and craftsmanship over punching a clock.

This position is best for a technician who wants to grow with a company and is open to mixed work including install projects, paid ride-along service experience, and job-based pay when install volume is lower.

What the Role Looks Like

  • Install-based work when jobs are scheduled (paid hourly or by project depending on scope)

  • Shadowing and assisting on service calls when install workload slows (paid hourly)

  • Lead and assist on residential change-outs, system upgrades, and ductwork improvements

  • Perform start-ups, commissioning, and system performance verification

  • Maintain clean and respectful job sites

  • Communicate clearly with customers and with the owner on job progress

Requirements

  • Active Oklahoma Mechanical Journeyman License (Required)

  • EPA 608 Certification

  • 3+ years residential install experience preferred

  • Valid driver’s license and insurable record

  • Ability to work independently and take pride in quality installations

  • Comfortable with variable workload and schedule flexibility

Ideal Candidate

  • Someone who wants to earn solid money on well-executed installs, not run sloppy volume work

  • Self-motivated, reliable, and consistent with communication

  • Able to adapt between installation and service assistance without ego

  • Interested in growing into a stable, full-time role as the company expands

Compensation

  • Hourly for service-support days and install prep

  • Project-based pay opportunities for full system installs

  • Seasonal and demand-based schedule variability

  • Performance-based pay increases and leadership opportunities

Schedule

  • Part-time / as-needed with potential for growth toward full-time

  • Monday–Friday availability preferred

  • Hours vary based on install load and season

Apply

If you’re tired of rushed installs or high-pressure sales environments and want to work with a company that values integrity, craftsmanship, and honest expectations, we’d like to talk.

Compensation: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
